INTORDUCTION

Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat pain and inflammatory diseases. Paracetamol is an analgesic drug used alone or in combination with opioids as Antipain and an antipyretic agent. Magnesium trisilicate is an inorganic compound that is used as a food additive. Chlorpheniramine is a histamine-H1 receptor antagonist.

Diclofenac Sodium, Paracetamol, Magnesium Trisilicate & Chlorpheniramine Maleate Tablets is used to treat common cold, blocked or runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing. It is also used to reduced fever and pain.

HOW DICLOFENAC SODIUM, PARACETAMOL, MAGNESIUM TRISILICATE &CHLORPHENIRAMINE MALEATE TABLETS WORKS

Diclofenac inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 and -2 which is responsible for production of prostaglandin (PG). This exerts anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic effects. Paracetamol inhibits prostaglandin synthesis by reducing the active form of cyclooxygenase-1 and -2 enzymes. Chlorpheniramine binds to the histamine H1 receptor which blocks the action of endogenous histamine and leads to temporary relief. Chlorpheniramine binds to the histamine H1 receptor. This blocks the action of endogenous histamine, which subsequently leads to temporary relief of the negative symptoms brought on by histamine.
