This medication is for external use only. It is advisable to take this medicine as per prescribed by your doctor. Follow the directions as per given in prescription label. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
HOW CHLORAMPHENICOL EYE DROPS WORKS
Chloramphenicol is a bacteriostatic by inhibiting protein synthesis. It prevents protein chain elongation by inhibiting the peptidyl transferase activity of the bacterial ribosome. It binds with residues in rRNA and prevents peptide bond formation.
