Artemether Injection

Artemether Injection is used in treatment of malaria. The injectable form is specifically used for severe malaria rather than quinine. In adults, it may not be as effective as artesunate.

Artemether Injection is an antimalarial drug which is used for treatment of uncomplicated malaria caused by P. falciparum and chloroquine-resistant P. falciparumparasites. Artemether Injection can also be used to treat severe malaria.

• Headache

It is strictly advisable to ask your doctor or nurse for administration.

One of the proposed mechanisms is that through inhibiting anti-oxidant and metabolic enzymes, artemether inflict oxidative and metabolic stress on the cell. Some pathways affected may concern glutathione and glucose metabolism and a result, reduced growth of the parasite.
