Erythromycin Estolate Oral Suspension is a broad-spectrum, topical macrolide antibiotic with antibacterial activity. Erythromycin is widely used for treating a variety of infections, including those caused by gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

Erythromycin is an antibiotic used for the treatment of a number of bacterial infections which includes respiratory tract infections, skin infections, chlamydia infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, and syphilis. It may also be used during pregnancy as well as to improve delayed stomach emptying.

Erythromycin inhibit the protein synthesis by binding to the rRNA molecule. It stops bacterial protein synthesis by inhibiting the transpeptidation/translocation step of protein synthesis. This results in the control of various bacterial infections.
